I help you build the right thing by understanding user needs and aligning with business goals.

By combining design, engineering, and business expertise, I help you design solutions that are desirable for users, viable for the business, and feasible to build.

I support user research, define user needs, and align with business goals before translating it all into a tangible outcome appropriate for your context.

How I work.

Empathise

I work closely with users and internal teams to understand the context and gather insights through workshops, interviews, observations, and desktop research. By listening carefully and asking the right questions, I help uncover the real needs.

Define

Next, I synthesise the complex network of insights into a clear, tangible brief. This step helps set priorities, align stakeholders, and ensure that the team shares a common understanding of what matters most.

Create

Finally, I translate the brief into user-oriented solutions that fit your value chain and implement them in a way that ensures proper use. Making these decisions is much easier when you have a solid foundation of knowledge from insights.

Johan Møller

Who is Møller Innovation Lab?

My name is Johan Møller, and I am a designer, engineer and project manager from Denmark with years of experience driving innovation projects in large and small organisations.

In 2025, I moved to Lofoten to combine my professional work with a life closer to nature. I did my Master Thesis here in Lofoten in 2022, designing a better lifejacket for fishers to save lives. I fell in love with the nature and culture, and now I live here close to fishing, hiking and snowboarding.

Before founding Møller Innovation Lab, I worked as an Innovation Lead at Novo Nordisk, where I led device development projects while also helping define innovation processes across the organisation, combining hands-on execution with strategic planning.

My profile combines education within design and engineering with business experience from MedTech and Pharma contexts. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Design and Innovation from the Technical University of Denmark, and a master’s degree in Design from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
